Barry has been in construction
30 years. He first joined Carmel Kitchens and Baths 20 years
ago as an up-and-coming designer. His talent and hard work
paid off as he earned the Certified Kitchen Designer award
from the National Kitchens & Baths Association in 1992, the
same year he purchased CK&B. Barry now leads this exemplary
team of professionals while enjoying his time as a
grandfather, runner, and part-time cook.

Julie Young
Certified Kitchen Designer

Julie
has 20 years of design experience, not only specializing in
kitchen and bath remodels, but also with interior design. A
self-described “function junkie,” Julie has an amazing
ability to see a remodel as an integral part of the whole
house. She sets out on a project to transform a space into a
room that functions flawlessly and reflects the style and
priorities of the homeowner.
Julie has a B.S. in Interior
Design from the University of Arizona and has earned her
title as “Certified Kitchen Designer” from the National
Kitchens & Baths Association.
“The vision of what a home
can and will be is what really excites me,” explains Julie.
Her favorite design always seems to be the one she’s working
on at the time.

Gary Courtright

With
over seven years of design experience and a background in
high end national custom woodwork manufacturing, Gary brings
a fresh outlook to the world of kitchen and bath design.
Gary is rapidly becoming famous for his impeccable eye and
attention to detail. He has a talent for recognizing quality
construction, materials and wood finishes and is notably the
team expert in cabinetry, flooring, beams and woodwork.
Gary tells about his favorite
design to date, a historic restoration of a Sears & Roebuck
home. “The great attention to detail the project required
was challenging, but the enthusiasm of the client and
authenticity of the space was inspiring and fun.”
Gary enjoys an active
lifestyle and mountain bikes with his wife and 5 boys.
